Breaking Radio Silence

Well, it's been over six months since I have blogged. I don't even think anyone is reading this thing anymore. I have thought many times of just shutting this thing down for good. And then I think about maybe expanding the scope. I have a new hobby to share with you.

I am now a letterboxer. Actually, I have been a letterboxer for over a year and half. I just never shared about it here. I will tell you more about this in another post.

I still knit. I knit regularly. I have been sticking mostly to socks. I keep a simple sock going in my purse and a more complicated pattern for television viewing. I am working on knitting up all my sock yarn. I have purchased no yarn this year for socks. I do have a membership to the Blue Moon Fiber Arts Rocking Sock Club. So I get yarn once every 2 months. I have been a member since the very first year. I cannot give it up. Other than the RDC, I have been yarn-purchase free.

This is my most current sock in progress. It is the Buggin' Out pattern by Stephen Houghton. Both the yarn and pattern should be available next year for purchase. The socks are being knit for Hisself. He loved the yarn color as soon as he saw it. I had to start them about 4 times to get the right gauge. I'll probably have to do the toes in a different color in order to have enough of the green for both socks.

Well, here's for another November of blogging.

I have heard alot of people talk about letterboxing but I have never really looked into it.

I am looking around for a yarn club to join sometime next year they seem pretty fun.

Hisself has good taste in yarn color I like the color too.
