Buggin' Out Socks for Hisself

These socks are my most recent finished object. They are the Buggin' Out Socks (Ravelry Link)by Stephen Houghton. The pattern was distributed to Rocking Sock Club Members in our most recent club kit. The pattern should be available to the general public next year.
The yarn is also from Blue Moon Fiber Arts and came in their most recent kit. It is a really lovely shade of dark olive green. Hisself liked the color right away and wanted socks made from this yarn. Hisself has long feet. One skein of STR does not fit for him. I added some STR in Black Onyx for the toes.
I went up to a size 3.0mm needle to get the size and gauge Hisself needed. He loves the fit of the socks. This is the first time he has tried a hemmed cuff. He really likes the change from the standard 2x2 rib that I usually use for his socks. With the ribbing on the back and the sole as well as the cable-made spiders, the socks fit snugly on his legs which is something he really likes.

It's a well-written pattern. The socks are reversible and show a nice, sedate cable on the inside with a reverse-stockinette toe. He likes these because they are a bit of flash, but subtle. The green color matches 1/3 of his entire wardrobe.
Look for this pattern when it becomes available. In a world where fun socks for men are either too ridiculous or too impossible to find, these socks offer a bit of flash with a nice fit.
